The Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting is a news media organization established in 2006 that sponsors independent reporting on global issues. In 2023, I participated as a W&M Reporting Fellow for the Center through the university's Sharp Seminar Collaboration. The Pulitzer Center offered me funding to report in State College, Pennsylvania on Spotted Lanternfly research. Particularly, this long-form piece focused on challenges within the scientific community as this invasive insect continues to spread.
