About Me:
I am recent graduate of the College of William & Mary with a B.A. in History and Environmental Humanities. This September, I will begin my MSJ program at Northwestern University's Medill School where I will study Health, Environment and Science reporting.
This portfolio encapsulates my journey, highlighting my contributions to multiple news outlets and media agencies. Since 2021, I have contributed over 60 articles for various organizations. While in school, I worked as a Communications Assistant for the Roy R. Charles Center and was the Operations Coordinator for the university student newspaper, The Flat Hat. Outside of W&M, I spent a year as a news intern and freelance reporter for the Virginia Gazette.
I am a passionate environmentalist and historian with a long-term goal of pursuing a career in environmental and scientific reporting. I believe the best journalists strive for honesty, compassion, and meaningful community engagement through both written work and interpersonal communication.
When I’m not reporting, I can be found exploring the outdoors, sipping coffee in Williamsburg and cultivating my artistic hobbies!
