About Me:
I am a recent graduate of the College of William & Mary with a B.A. in History and Environmental Humanities. Currently, I am pursuing my M.S. in Journalism, with a specialization in Health, Environment and Science reporting, at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism in Chicago, IL.
This portfolio encapsulates my journey, highlighting my contributions to multiple news outlets and media agencies. With over 70+ published articles, I pride myself on having a wide range of skills cultivated from working in various journalism, PR and marketing roles. While at William & Mary, I worked as a Communications Assistant for the Roy R. Charles Center and served as Operations Coordinator for the university's student newspaper, The Flat Hat. Outside of W&M, I spent a year as a news intern and general assignment reporter for the Virginia Gazette.
I have a long-term goal of pursuing a career in environmental reporting with a focus on solutions journalism and environmental justice. I believe the best journalists strive for honesty, compassion and meaningful community engagement through both written work and interpersonal communication.
When I’m not reporting, I can be found exploring the outdoors, sipping coffee in various Chicago neighborhoods and cultivating my artistic hobbies!
